Here we have another pastiche by Tim that while not recalling any specific example from the vast body of Humorama spanking cartoons nevertheless manages to evoke their spirit: "In my day, young man, we married our women before spanking them!" The humor stems from the spankee's father being upset by spanking before marriage rather than spanking per se.
As for the young man, he's got a smile on his face and his eyes fixed firmly on the target, so we predict he'll go
far in life.
