![]() Another psychiatrist-spanks-patient gag, but with a kind of role-reversal: the patient is eager to be spanked while the shrink is strangely reluctant. Artist unknown; taken from Good Humor #10. Discovered by Andre at SPK and posted by the Web-Ed on 04/05/2024 (click to increase in size). |
Yes, it's the old shrink-spanks-patient gag, but this time with the twist that the patient is
eager and willing to be taken OTK (nothing wrong with her that we can see!) but the doctor is strangely hesitant
to apply the badly-needed spanks! We mean "strangely" by CSR standards, where M/F adult spanking is always
considered a positive good; we suppose that by the standards of psychiatry - and they aren't much - the doctor
is correct to keep his hands off his patient. Our diagnosis is that there's nothing wrong with this woman that
a large number of whacks applied firmly to her big round behind couldn't cure, especially with some later periodic
doses of that same medicine! The artist's signature, if that's what it is, resembles the "vertical spring" of Felix Andrews, but the drawing lacks Andrews' strong outside lines and scratchy inside ones (see his "Corporal Punishment" for an example) so he remains unknown. Maybe that "signature" is really a vertical spring coming out of the psychiatrist's couch, but if so it doesn't add anything to the cartoon. According to Andre at SPK who discovered it, this cartoon is from Good Humor #10. We can't confirm that, but if so, that would have to be the later 1961 series, placing it in the Winter of 1964. |
