Phil - I am terribly sorry to hear that. Again I know I speak for the entire CSR community when I say that you and Phil S. will be in our thoughts and prayers throughout this Holiday Season. We all hope you both will get well soon, and please keep us apprised.overbarrel49 wrote:Hi everyone,
Being named Phil doesn't seem to be a good thing here at CSR. You may have noticed that I am not making as many comments as I usually do. That is because I too have some serious health issues. That's about all I can tell you at this time. I'll let you know more after I see the specialist next month. Phil
I like this one.web-ed wrote:The Comic Strip Series continues with a modern comic. We're not sure what it's called, so we named this episode "Try Not to Swear" (when you're getting the paddle across your rear).
Yeah. I think that might be my only criticism of the strip. If he was going to use the long paddle, she'd be better bent over the arm of the couch. Or... going the other way... I like the OTK postition, so it would be better for me if he had used something small, like a hairbrush or a ping pong paddle... or even better than that: his hand!web-ed wrote:This is a pretty relaxed scene, with the choice of implement, a long paddle, not really suited to the OTk position.
Maybe if this one strip was part of a larger storyline, it would make sense. Somehow, I don't think Batman would do anything to stop the woman from being paddled. If anything, he might wait his turn and spank her himself!web-ed wrote:We're not sure how to interpret his "You would be better off calling for Batman" in response to her exclamation of "Jesus!". Perhaps he's not a Christian, but we think it would be a mistake to search this strip for any deep religious significance one way or the other.
That's the best suggestion I've heard so far, and it's a funny idea.willjohn wrote:Could she have thought he was a Mexican named Jesus, pronounced Haysoos?
They did indeed, Willjohn! (I wonder if Karno was an influence on Benny Hill?) The paddling scene had such an improvised character to it that I think we're lucky one or two of the actresses seemed to understand they needed to line the pledges up and at least made an attempt to bend them over a little.willjohn wrote:Shame the school those girls went to did not teach them the importance of bending over with their legs kept straight while they were paddled. They looked like Fred Karno's Army.
Yes, I well remember seeking out adult bookstores in Chicago in the 80s and early 90s in search of spanking material. There was one up on Lawrence on the north side of Chicago (you want to stay away from the south side!) that actually had some of Shadow Lane's videos, although I couldn't really afford them at $75.00 each or something like that because it was a fortune to me. I think they had some of Red Board's also, and I've always hoped to find an old Red Board tape to capture the opening sequence which was a paddle painted red being genuinely applied to a shapely, bent-over derrieretanner wrote:Never was a fan of vanilla porn either. But back then would eagerly await the latest issue of Mr. and Nugget for any spanking letters, stories, or articles they might have. Back then if you wanted to maybe find spanking material, it often involved a visit to an adult bookstore in a disreputable neighborhood. Though sometimes regular convenience stores would have something like the magazines mentioned, or Letters magazine, where some issues would have spanking letters along with ones on other fetishes,
In the 80s sometime CF Publications came along where you could order spanking stories by mail. on plain sheets of letter size paper, Not sure what has happened with them since the Internet.
I'm not a big fan of sorority paddlings, since they're always F/F. It might be nice if they did a movie or a video in which the girls partnered with one of the fraternities and put the frat-boys in charge of paddling the sorority pledges! Or maybe the dean finds out that a sorority has been violating the school's anti-hazing rule and brings in the leader to give her a paddling of her own!web-ed wrote:The Comic Strip Series gets the last week of the year off as we change gears completely and present a sorority paddling scene from the critically-acclaimed (by us ) film Coed Fever. On a cold night this one will keep you as warm as the pledges' paddled bottoms.
web-ed wrote:both the pledges and the sisters were naked or nearly so and were played by pretty good-looking actresses
Sounds like fun! I'll be looking forward to that!web-ed wrote:Next Week: The Comic Strip Series returns as the new year begins with two cartoons featuring the parents of Dennis the Menace. Perhaps Dennis lacks for discipline, but his mother Alice sure doesn't!
Of the two, I liked the Karstens/Bard one better. Dennis looked exactly the way Ketchum used to draw him, and the parents looked almost the same... except that Alice was a little more shapely, and Henry seemed more muscular. Those changes could be seen as improvements, especially in an erotic context. I'd be happier if Alice weren't wearing manacles... but that's a minor quibble.web-ed wrote:The Comic Strip Series returns after a week off as the new year begins with two cartoons featuring the parents of Dennis the Menace. Perhaps Dennis lacks for discipline, but his mother Alice sure doesn't! First we see Alice Mitchell Spanked Animated and then another gem from the Karstens/Bard file, Alice Mitchell Spanked by Karstens and Bard.
I'm looking forward to that one! I remember seeing one that had a poem about reasons for using it, and one line was, "For nice young brides who burn the toast."web-ed wrote:Novelty Paddles - us old-timers all remember seeing these sold in souvenir shops, and I've gathered a whole bunch of pictures of them.
Glad to hear you're doing so well, PhilSweetspot wrote:WOW! I'm touched and truly humbled! Thanks for the honor. I hope that the new gallery will be filled to overflowing with all kinds of good things like this little gem from the 1920s...

I'm doing much better health wise as I'm experiencing very little pain at the moment and have almost 100% of my mobility restored. I look forward to making further contributions as my 'energy' level continues to improve.
