As is the case with her neighbor, Betty, Wilma Flintstone wasn't originally drawn sexy... but this rendering has wider hips and rounder buttcheeks... and she's nude! This picture makes me wonder if there was a story in the artist's mind.

The Patsy Walker Series begins with an unlikely spankee in Patsy Walker #3.

This spanking, not shown but clearly indicated, was done for humor, not eroticism. Eating her supper from the mantle with a pillow tied to her butt brings a few laughs.

O.K., once again I'm drowning in difficulties here as illness and a seriously injured family member are sapping my available energy, plus I'm writing this on battery power because of a very strange computer power supply problem. What's going to happen next week I can't say. For the moment I have no way of recharging my laptop's battery. Let's hope the battery holds out until I can finish this.

I wanted to explain why I'm doing a Patsy Walker series in which most of the scenes don't show the actual spanking (two of them have actual implement-to-buttocks impact). Such scenes don't go in the Data Base, but I have shown them before if they're interesting enough. Four things make them interesting in my view:

1. We've seen Patsy Walker before getting caned in her later incarnation as Hellcat, and her rival Hedy Wolfe getting spanked by her father, so these characters should be somewhat familiar and of some interest. Patsy herself receives three spankings with one on camera and that one sort of symbolic.

2. These scenes are back in Marvel's Golden Age, giving us more of a feeling for spankings during that period.

3. Four of them feature the classic but rare humor device of having a pillow strapped to the behind.

4. I'm going to expand in the new year from just Patsy Walker's cast of characters to other Marvel characters of that period, and there are some similarities between some of the spankings which we wouldn't recognize if we hadn't seen them all.

More distantly-related material (missed opportunities, etc.) will be consigned to this board or, if an actual spanking, to the Data Base. This week, for example, we see Patsy and Nancy very tempted to paddle Hedy, and we don't mean her canoe!

This is sort of an odd one, Fred doesn't look like Fred. Wilma doesn't look like Wilma. But the good thing is that the artist gave his Wilma wider hips and rounder buttcheeks than the original... and Doctor Cylon gave her a touch of redness where she needed it.

O.K., things are still pretty dicey here at the CSR offices, but because I've been working about three weeks ahead and because I've gotten my computer to charge (for now), there has been no interruption of service and this week's updates have gone in on schedule. I'll try to keep it up if I can. I have a second computer (that I built myself, as a matter of fact), but I've kept it reserved for audio/video work (including editing the videos for CSR) and don't have all the site information or FTP software to upload the web pages on it, so it's not an ideal back-up unit.

We've got more of Patsy Walker this week and we'll see one more after-the-spanking scene next week, but then we'll take a break from Patsy and her pals until the New Year. I hope this will give me time to finish researching all the character's Golden Age appearances (I'm already done with the 120 or so issues of her own book), but the way things are going, who knows?

We're getting near the end of the Flintstones/Jetsons Series, and I'm happy to report two of the three remaining entries will be M/F!

And you're speaking for all of us, Willjohn! Why independent artists as a group are so enamored of F/F spanking remains for the most part a mystery (in the case of certain individual female artists it makes sense). I've complained about this many times regarding what I can find in the superheroine spanking sub-genre, and as we see the problem extends to other areas such as animation as well. Even most of the Kim Possible spankings seem to be F/F (I've got some more still in the files) with only a few very welcome Ron/Kim scenes.

With the Flintstones, the four obvious pairings of Fred or Barney spanking Betty or Wilma have been sadly neglected for the most part, and the Jetsons aren't really any better although we will be winding up the current series with a Cylonized M/F spanking by Nik Zula next week.

With George spanking Jane and Judy (by implication, as it necessarily is with much of Doctor Cylon's work) we at least have a M/F scene. I believe we have two more in the hamper, Jane spanking Judy which is F/F but at least the actual OTK spanking is drawn by artist Tram Pararam, and Mr. Slate spanking a grown-up Pebbles Flintstone, M/F and drawn by Nik Zula. That will conclude the series and Doctor Cylon will move on to Jessica Rabbit for awhile.

This week's spanking for Patsy Walker is unfortunately once again off-panel, but it's a nice story and I won't repeat here all my reasons for including these scenes in our weekly updates. I know we've been a little light on M/F spankings, fully visualized, which is after all our bread-and-butter here. However, I find this Golden Age Marvel stuff rather fascinating, and I do have some more from Patsy Walker and other titles that we'll get to in January. Until then, we're going to take a break from Patsy & Co. and see some material from Alan that has long languished in my files.

That will begin next week with a couple of fake book covers: "The Soundly Spanked Nurse," and Nancy Drew solving "The Case of the Three Red Rears"!

As everyone knows, I've entered another really rough patch, caring for one relative with a broken arm and another going in for surgery next month, which is going to make for a very hectic Christmas season. And the fun just begins there: on the computer front, I seem to hanging on by a thread, or perhaps the wire that communicates between my power supply and the computer's BIOS. I've ordered a new DC power jack, so let's hope I can manage to attach the thing correctly to my motherboard. This is for a Dell Inspiron, by the way. I've generally had good luck with Dell, but this problem seems to have bedeviled a lot of users and CSR readers might want to consider this when buying a new laptop. (Obviously, the power supply is more robust with tower-style desktop computers because the larger chassis allows the transformer to be built in to the case.)

Dell's software does seem superior to Acer's, though, so I'm not really sure what to recommend if you're buying a new laptop. The upcoming Cyber Monday will surely feature some good deals if you're in the market for one. End of computer talk.

O.K., the updates post was really long (what else is new?), but believe it or not I actually have a couple of more things to say.

First, I expect to continue the updates on schedule as I'm several weeks ahead now, but of course this has come at the cost of attending to other things. I'm still stretched 'way too thin, and poor DMSherwood was probably wondering if I'd died or something. He did recently post a couple of his commissioned artworks over in B00m's Gallery (they may be moved from there eventually) and he's still waiting for me to code some more of his fiction, which I expect to finally get to shortly. But if I just can't them done on time, I will at least post an explanation and hope to get them in the following week. (Also, B00m will probably help take up any slack with another O. T. Katie adventure). This is a busy time for everyone anyway, and some of you may be hard-pressed to keep up with CSR. (In which case, be sure to check everything out when you can later) .

Second, in case anyone was wondering, I do intend to keep CSR up and running. If I could make it through 2021 - and it was a close thing - I should be able to make it through this year and into next year also. However, I am badly over-extended, and the strain certainly shows at times. For example, I forgot until an hour ago I hadn't finished all the new copy for Patsy Walker #41 (this week's comics update) and had to do a rush job, and I had no time to look for new Thanksgiving stuff. (Someone may have sent me something for the holiday, but I haven't been able to check).

Also, this Board is way out of date, but I couldn't undertake an update of its software even if my Web Host had everything we needed in place, and I don't think he does (I don't even have the time to check that out!). But I guess we can struggle along with what we've got since everything is still working.

It suits my passion for order, and saves some time because it's easier to work systematically through one sub-folder than it is to select a new one each week.) We'll wind it up next week with Mr. Slate spanking a grown-up Pebbles Flintstone, and odd as that pairing is, at least it's an honest-to-goodness M/F OTK spanking! After that, we'll move on to Jessica Rabbit for a while.
