As always, I greatly admire your unceasing passion for finding and distributing new spanking toons for us to enjoy. You are performing a great Public Service.

The best of this week's new toons, in my humble opinion, is the Jack O'Brien "spanker" where the old lech is spanking some cute young thing after gifting her with a shiny new necklace for her birthday. Perhaps because I know, first hand, the feelings of an older guy who loves to spank young women, that toon resonates with me... a LOT! The best facet of this drawing is, for me, the fact that the spankee is so fixated on her new jewelry, she seems unconcerned about the spanking she is receiving. Maybe the old guy is spanking feebly, or maybe his swats are hard enough but her admiration of her new necklace overrides any concerns about the pain in her rump. Either way, we win.

The toon showing Doc Savage spanking Buffy the Vampire Slayer is nice to look at, but I suspect this one is not mainstream. You name someone called "Petia" as the artist, and I'm sorry to say I do not know who that is. A male? A female? Sorry if you have already supplied this information and I somehow missed it. You say this one was done "by commission."

The spanking toon by the single-named individual called "Riley" is one where the caption is, IMHO, superior to the artwork. That's a pretty good gag, where the guy tells the girl she should stop telling people that he gives her a pain in the ass... unless she's willing to actually get that pain, over his knee and being spanked vigorously! That's a good joke. The artwork is okay, I guess, but this "Riley" person has a drawing style that shows people with angles where they should have curves. The girl's face and head look squashed and bent, rather than round, as it should be. But I do realize this is the artist's particular style. Still, you would think that for a toon about spanking, the artist would have shown us a rounder, sexier bottom. Here, it looks almost like an afterthought.

Again, Web-ed, thanks for always looking out for us and bringing us the latest spanking cartoons. These are toons that we surely had not seen before... at least, I hadn't seen them.

Oops, I forgot to mention the new Nik Zula toons you have given us. Thanks... they are great!

I'm sorry to say, I don't know much about this person. He seems to write his captions in Spanish, so I assume he is located in Spain or in a South American country. Don't know who translates his caps to English for us, but I suspect the translator is not fluent in English, for sometimes the English translations are misspelled and missing appropriate words.

All of which should not matter to us, one bit! Zula's artwork shows us that he is foursquare in favor of M/F OTK spankings. We have dozens of examples of his work, and it is always good. He has the knack of showing the spankees' bottoms neatly split between the right and left cheeks, with a thong in the middle.

As you said, Zula blends eroticism and humor in roughly equal proportions. I wish I could do that.



A lot of good toons come from Zula's pen. Sometimes I think he (I assume it's a he) runs out of ideas, for he will go for several weeks without launching a good cartoon; but bless his heart, eventually he comes back with some new and wonderful pictures!

Never seen work from this Artist before Jack O` Brien but this is a good drawing

We've only seen two "spankers" from Jack O'Brien (the other one being here), and I don't know of any others, but he was a decent artist, working for many years on Sad Sack and perhaps other Harvey titles. If we're lucky, there just might be one more O'Brien spanking cartoon still out there.

The toon showing Doc Savage spanking Buffy the Vampire Slayer is nice to look at, but I suspect this one is not mainstream. You name someone called "Petia" as the artist, and I'm sorry to say I do not know who that is. A male? A female? Sorry if you have already supplied this information and I somehow missed it.

I had given what little information I had about Petia in this summer's posting of Wonder Woman Spanks Poison Ivy. She's from the Czech Republic and I'm afraid I don't know anything else. We may hope she will do some more spanking work in the future.

You're welcome, Dan - it's my pleasure. I'm always particularly pleased when I can bring something previously unknown to light. That has been the case with some of the comics material, where I either discovered it or was the only one in the spanking scene who knew about it, and with some of the Humorama cartoons. And it has been the case where I have found a spanking work on a non-spanking site, which is the most difficult type of search but well worth it since many of those Supergirl spankings, for instance, wouldn't be available anywhere now if I hadn't preserved them years ago. Of course, there's no way I can rely entirely on CSR exclusives, especially when I find art at places like Anime OTK and DeviantArt. But not everyone will have seen my reposts at their original locations, so they're still worth it, at least if I exercise good editorial judgment in selecting them.

Another busy week here at CSR, with five regular updates including two with Halloween themes and twenty-four more examples of missed opportunities for spanking!

• I added two dozen examples to the Missed Opportunities topic in Comic-Book Spanking. Almost all of these were sent to me by Robin (thanks, Robin!), and I think they're worth looking at even though they don't contain any true spankings. Some feature spankable bottoms, while the rest are either suggestive of spanking or at least are of the "behind in jeopardy" type.
• Halloween (1) - Did you know there was a Hungarian proverb about the Devil spanking his wife? I didn't either until I saw this piece by Hungarian artist Aron Nagy.
• Halloween (2) - We saw a lot of Batgirl's behind getting swatted during out recent Super-Spanking Summer II, but there was an example of Batgirl spanked by Vampirella we just couldn't get to - until now!
• And speaking of Super-Spanking Summer II, I had posted a drawing of Batman spanking Harley Quinn that our own Hugob00m produced an enhanced version of, and which we'll see now that I finally got around to adding it to the page.
• Humorama update: New scan of Herc Ficklen's Nautical Spanking.
• Humorama Series #110: Originally posted by Dan Rivera on the CSR Bulletin Board last year, this Suspenseful Spanking by Hy Del is about the only time in these cartoons that the spankee was so stressed by knowing what was in store for her that she exhorted the spanker to get started! I've also got my own version now to go along with Dan's.

Next week: The Humorama Series rolls on as we accompany a doctor on his rounds and find that if he learned nothing else in medical school, he does at least know where to locate the female gluteus maximus . And as I promised earlier, there'll be no Halloween Horror (F/M stuff) this year, but we will have two M/F pieces (hooray!). I forgot to answer this earlier, Dan, so now I have to do it with the posts out of order . Nik Zula is indeed a he, and I believe he uses Google Translator or something similar to get his words into English. Sometimes it doesn't work too well, as you note.
But he's really done an amazing job these past few years, and we'll probably be seeing more of his work on CSR in the future. He has his own blog now where you can see most of his stuff - it's one of the very few I have time to follow each week. I don't know which country he lives in.

I think you've always done pretty well at blending eroticism and humor in your own cartoons, just as Zula does. It's a difficult balancing act, and anyway a good case can be made for unbalancing the cartoon in one direction or the other even though this always carries some risk. A subject for a future essay? I don't have one planned, but you never know.

i've heard the expression, "spanking the devil out of her" but in the case of the Aron Nagy drawing you posted in this week's updates the devil seems to be spanking it INTO her . as you noted, it would seem that a good time is being had by all in this rather unique drawing . Srees did a fine job on the Batgirl spanking and i think this is another occasion of a really good F/F spanking. good otk position as you mentioned and also i think both ladies are well drawn i especially like the expressions. Vampirella looks "really" irritated and determined and Batgirl looks really apprehensive and perhaps even a bit scared so i have to figure that Batgirl is gonna get her bare bottom blistered good this time..............just the way i like it too . i really like the "enhanced" Batman/Harley spanking that Boom did for us . the fuller, more rounded bottom is an especially good addition and that shiny, red color is really nice too. i agree with you too that her expression is much more appropriate now and i especially like the tear. it goes much better with that well spanked bottom that Boom provided . thanks and a tip of the hat to Boom for doing this one. thanks for the update on the Herc nautical spanking. i like seeing the original printing of these drawings and also knowing when they were first used so thanks for providing that for us. of course, there's something to be said for the version Baldios colored..............the bare bottom and more worried expression work nicely together here . the spankee in the Hy Del spanker does indeed seem a bit anxious . i have a spankee friend who likes to refer to this "waiting" as the spank antsies. the question is, does she want to get on with it because she wants to get her spanking over with or is she expecting to enjoy this and can't wait to get started? either way, i can see why she would be irritated . good updates again. i have been really working hard on getting my late aunt's house ready for sale and it's really nice to sit, relax and look at some spanking drawings thanks, phil

This saying go`s for what I learn as a boy was if it raining while the sun is shining that mean the Devil is beating his wife I also remember my Mother and Grandma saying if you put a glass on the ground you could hear the beating! I'm sure she would also, willjohn. Herc was a veteran of the U.S. Army, not the Navy, and apparently didn't know that. Sounds like you may have done a hitch in the Royal Australian Navy. The Cat o' nine tails is a severe implement. Another possibility for naughty girls on the high seas would be to give them the lesser punishment meted out to boys, namely making them "kiss the gunner's daughter" (i.e. bend over a cannon - maybe we should change "daughter" to "son") for six of the best with the cane. So be warned, sea-faring women who want to join me crew aboard the good ship CSR - break the rules and ye'll be bent over the cannon (o.k.- the fishing tackle box) and given six o' the best with a fishin' rod!

Once we're past Halloween, my plan is continue with the Humorama Series and do one update to the Picture Gallery each week while I continue to renovate it (more on this when it's finished). Right around Christmas I may change the pattern slightly and only do updates to existing pages, because it's a busy time of year and I don't want anyone to miss any of the really new stuff.

2. Prize Comics #48 (Dec. 1944) Tree / Worldbeater. Compare to the tree spanking Doiby Dickles in Green Lantern #22 from 1946. Looks like the GL creative team copied theirs from Worldbeater, and we can only ask, "Why?"

well, you're right. i was NOT prepared for Gumby cast in the role of spanker. i love the look on his face as he eyes the target on his lap. it appears to me as if he might be about ready to cream his jeans .oh, wait! is he wearing jeans . i don't know who our devilish spankee is but she appears to me to be taking evil delight in all this . again, i never thought of Jerry Lewis giving a spanking either. perhaps our girl, Vampirella, was one of "Jerry's kids"............and a naughty one at that . i agree with you about her expression. it is the best part of the drawing . i like the playful Homer secretary spanking. good otk position and a beautiful spankee. i don't know if Mary Tyler Moore is the model for this but there certainly is a resemblance and i like to think that it is her. it's not the first time i've even thought about spanking her. i thought there were bunches of times she could have benefited from a good spanking by Rob on the old Dick Van Dyke show not to mention that she just always looked so beautiful and spankable to me . i have to say that the good doctor sure does look pleased as he practices his hobby in the Lowell Hoppes drawing ................or perhaps he just knows that swats on the bottom are often good "medicine" for nurses i couldn't help but wonder if the nurse with the indignant expression had a surprised look like the girl who is currently getting swatted . thanks for more great updates. phil

Wow, Web-ed! Some mighty fine (and surprising) spank toons in the Weekly Updates!

First up is Gumby, the most unlikely spanker in media... made of soft plasteline clay, he would seem to land soft swats, and not many at all. But here we have Lyndal Ferguson and his lively imagination, making Gumby the reincarnation of G.W. McLintock! Good show.

And, speaking of unlikely spankers, who would ever think of Jerry Lewis as the dominant half of an S&M toon? The artist, Yatz, here shows us a side of Jerry Lewis we've never seen before. I like that he shows us Vampirella over Jerry's knee, though I would prefer she were over BOTH knees, rather than one only. Nevertheless, Yatz shows us Vampi, as you've called her, in a proper submissive pose. I do like the elevation of her thonged bottom, and the look of dismay on her face.

Like you, I am unable to translate the Hebrew wording on the sign. However, I did notice that in the lower left corner, the artist has given us a logo indicating that this artwork is from 2002.

And you are right, about the secretary in the Homer cartoon looking a lot like Mary Tyler Moore. I doubt that she was the inspiration for the drawing, however, as I have watched the lady on TV through all her career, and she has NEVER given off any spanko vibes. You did mention, in one of your links, that she was "spanked" by Dick Van Dyke on his eponymous show back in the 1960s, with a rolled-up newspaper, but I have watched that scene several times, and to my mind there was little, if any, actual contact. I think Van Dyke just went through the motions, and the sound effects folks did the rest.

The Lowell Hoppes cartoon in your latest updates is my favorite. Boy oh boy, how times have changed! Once upon a time, a guy actually could get by with giving his female co-workers playful smacks... and yes, I am old enough to remember that actually happening, in an office setting. But these days, any guy who tries that would end up on the receiving end of a nasty lawsuit, and probably lose his job in the bargain. Which is all the more reason we should enjoy seeing stuff like the secretary/nurse spankings you keep finding for us (many thanks!)

HI WEB- ED CSR!!! GUMBY!! He was once a little green slab of clay look what Gumpy can do today! So the song went long ago! seeing Gumby as a spanker is kinda shocking and the Artist Lyndal Ferguson did a nice job drawing Gumby spanking a bad girl! now maybe I`am 100% wrong but do you think the woman being spanked by Gumby is Mrs. Ferguson herself don`t know hard much pain clay can inflick on a female `s bottom and juding by the smirk on the lady`s face it must not be to painful Why didn`t Gumby just change his hand into the shape of a paddle to warm the seat of this woman`s tight skirt! The otk is not very good being the the spanker`s legs are to short and the spankee seem to even though over his lap her legs look like it floating on air! Seeing that Gumby is enjoying himself sweating clay make this a nice drawing Seem that Vampirella can give a good spanking but when it her turn can`t take one!! This is definitely one for the HUH? file! Vampirella, with her voluptuous figure and her skimpy costume has inspired many spanking fantasies, i'm sure... but Jery Lewis as the spanker? Whoa! That part was never in any of my Vampirella fantasies! And I wish someone knowledgable in the Hebrew language would translate the little sign in the corner of the picture and perhaps explain how it may be relevant to the rest of the picture. Maybe it's because Mr. Lewis is Jewish? Is Vampi a Jew also? Nah! I'm pretty sure that human blood is not considered Kosher!

Humorama update: Two new scans of Secretary Spanking #6.

The question is whether the woman in the cartoon looks like Mary Tyler Moore? I think she does, but the resemblance might not be deliberate. Homer seemed to prefer drawing dark-haired, dark-eyed women most of the time. (although a few examples of Homer blondes can be found) As you've stated, there seems to be no evidence that Ms Moore herself, or anyone associated with the old Dick Van Dyke show was into spankings... even if the shape of her derriere and the figure-hugging clothes she wore inspired thoughts among some of us in the audience!

I agree that MTM has never given off any spanko vibes. As to the scene on the Dick Van Dyke show, I only saw it once and I'm sure you're right about there being very little actual contact. Of course, it wasn't an extended OTK scene like the ones on I Love Lucy in any case, which we'd much prefer. I'm still trying to capture the scene, though, because so many of us wanted to see MTM get spanked and that scene was as close as we ever got. Plus, as I recall MTM actually says "Thanks" for the swat!

Yes, I'm afraid office spankings are a thing of the past, but it is nice to remember and to re-create the good old days with classic secretary spanking cartoons, and I'll do the best I can to keep them coming. I came across a video recently where a young woman was holding up a "secretary swatter" which was a fly swatter in the shape of a secretary! She was bemoaning the "bad old days", but of course we have a different take on the subject which will be expressed when I get around to re-editing the video and presenting it on CSR. I've even located a picture of the "secretary swatter" and I have to wonder if anyone actually used it for its stated purpose way back when.

Now, only two of these are M/F, but they're both of interest since I believe the one from Lena Pry, a little-known strip, is a new discovery, while the one from Captain Triumph solves the mystery of where one of our black & white spanking panels, posted two years ago, came from - and it's now in full color! The only question is when I can find the time to post them - I'm inclined to wait until after the conclusion of the Humorama Series.

Speaking of which, although I only obtained two or three Humorama digests this month and found no new spanking cartoons, Steve W. contacted me with some new scans and information. Not only was he able to clear up some mysteries, he provided proof that an unidentified cartoon in my files was indeed of Humorama origin, plus one of the two cartoons I knew existed but hadn't been able to find. We'll be seeing many of his scans in the coming months.

• Doctor Cylon Update: an animated version of Mandy Spanked and a re-colored after-spanking scene added to the three already on the page.
• A Parental Spanking from Kevin Karstens. This one's a little odd because we're not used to seeing Karstens without his commissioner/collaborator Bawdy Bard. It was probably commissioned by someone else who remains unknown to us.
• Humorama update: Dan Rivera provides an alternate version of the recently-posted In the Pink Spanking of Paul Hamilton.
• Humorama Series #112: We've heard of fresh fish, but this is ridiculous: a fish gets fresh with a very surprised shopper. As I remarked on the page itself, this is a better gag than it is a spanking, but it's genuinely funny and I believe it to be another original discovery of mine. I know of only one other "fish spanking" - a man spanks a woman with a fish(!) in a drawing I will probably post some time in the relatively distant future - unless we count that cute little seaman/mermaid scene in this category.

Like the updated Mandy spanking with her tits jiggling as they would be expected to. The fish one reminded me of a childhood friend telling another friend that he had seen a man eating a dead fish. When the boy he told this to showed revulsion he replied "would you eat a live one?"

thanks for the information about Dean Yeagle. i thought it was interesting and the brief comparison of him with the humorama cartoonists of the past. too bad he's not in the habit of drawing spanking cartoons. i like the way he draws Mandy and i'd like to see her otk . more interesting information about the Kevin Karstens drawing. i have a hunch that your "take" on this drawing is pretty close to the mark. to me the facial expressions and the corresponding emotions they so nicely convey really carry the story to the viewer. whoever commissioned it, i think the message is clear. it was nice to see the entire Hamilton drawing without all the extraneous stuff covering it up. thanks and a tip of the hat to Dan for this one. i have to agree with you that the gag is better than the spanking in the "fresh fish" drawing. i did get a chuckle from the smile on the face of the fish . thanks for all the time you put in going through all the pages to find all this stuff for us. phil
