Japanese anime has a lot of spankings, but it's difficult for me to find them. Some show up on AnimeOTK, as we would expect, but many of these involve children so I can't re-post them on CSR. That's one of the basic problems I have with manga and anime which have many extended spanking scenes but too often involving minors. Obviously, spankings must be acceptable in Japanese society for there to be so many in manga and anime, but as I mention in one of the pages on the main site, the usual know-it-alls are trying to ban spanking there so it may be that there will be fewer spankings from these sources in the future.

We'll have one anime self-spanking on New Year's Eve, and I do have a lot of video material in the files, some of it from cartoons. We haven't seen anything new in video format since the pledge paddling from Coed Fever I posted three years ago because (1) the computer I built specially for audio and video work had been moved to a remote location and was unavailable to me last year, and (2) I was too busy with the Comic Strip Series (the one previous to our current Comics Series) to post the video material I had already edited.

• Resident Artist Hugob00m is continuing his new O.T. Katie strip featuring Katie's daughter Kaylyn. This is "Take Two" of the electrifying scene we saw last week. This time Jack's electrocution isn't real - but his hairbrush sure is, and Kaylyn gets a good second dose of it! (No link here, but you can find one on the Home Page).

With "Sunburst" we take our leave of Little Annie's Fanny in the Doctor Cylon Gallery, where next week we'll return to Scooby-Doo. Meanwhile on the comics side we've got an angry-looking "Iron Man" with two more weeks to go in our manga series. Actually, that series will be semi-continued the two final weeks of December with some nice stuff from anime. Finally, "Take Two" sees a second spanking for Kaylyn. I'm not sure what Hugob00m has planned next for O.T. Katie, but it doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to deduce that it probably involves Katie getting spanked .

Finally, I'm still struggling with the mail but hope to have the box cleared out by January.

This one is interesting. The thought of a naughty girl getting a sunburn on a freshly-spanked butt... or the other way around, getting spanked on a sunburned backside... is fun to contemplate. (Not so much fun for the poor girl, though!) The ray of sunshine shining through between her thighs is puzzling. Usually only very skinny girls have that much space, and Annie Fanny is hardly skinny!

Doctor Cylon resumes his Scooby-Doo series with Daphne and Velma,

Velma and Daphne are clearly recognizable, however, although we don't know what the exact situation is here.

I'm thinking the original idea of the artist was something altogether different than the interpretation Doc Cylon gave it with his added bit of color. I'd like to think of it as the aftermath of a spectral hand that solidified enough to redden the girls' backsides, and now they're trying to escape from the ghostly spanker... in too much of a hurry to even pull their tights back up.

I was glad to see the dialog given in English. The drawing style looks Japanese, or at least inspired by Japanese manga artists, but made to accommodate an English-speaking audience. Being able to read what's being said gy the characters provides some context to the padding given to the girl

In the second panel... (the top left one) the captain says he doesn't give a damn about the girl's ass... but I don't believe him, and apparently, neither do the other soldiers who are accompanying them back to the castle.

The young queen seems dressed for a high-school gym class. Her shorts make it possible for her to feel a smack on the ass without having to be fully exposed. I like the story. I like the panel of her bent over for her punishment offering some last-minute protests. I like the panel of the captain drawing back... except that the paddle seems excessively large. And I like the panel showing the actual swat. It's a bit exaggerated... but a little hyperbole in a comic strip can help to sell the story.

Thanks for mentioning the Christmas decorations, since I forgot to do it myself , and I'm glad you enjoyed seeing them again. I suppose I should update the cartoons and replace some of them with new ones, but apart from the fact I don't have the time, it's just like decorating your home: you trot out the old Christmas things from their cardboard boxes (I have so many I supplement two big carboard ones with about ten red and green plastic boxes as well) and put them up year after year because they have sentimental value and are good enough. (I still get a kick our of Resident Artist Phil Overbarrel's cartoon showing Santa spanking Big Red Hiney for her bad sign-making skills). I finally threw out some threadbare tinsel last year that went back to the 60s and that I hadn't used since the 80s, but that's really what it takes for me to get rid of the old stuff. One of these days I should probably get rid of the miniature light set I got back in the late 60s...

• We present a Christmas Eve Special featuring the Yatterman villainess Doronjo getting groped and then poked in the butt. O.K., it doesn't have much to do with Christmas, but it may help chase away those holiday doldrums! No links here for these last two updates, but you can find them both on the Home Page, and you can get to B00m's Gallery directly from here (see instructions I posted a couple months back on the "Bulletin Board Tips and Tricks" topic if you don't know how).

Doctor Cylon has a wide range of color palettes from "Ravaging Red" to "Subtle Safron". This week we see his latter approach in a work by an artist known only as "RR" featuring Velma and Daphne with very quiet hues. The Good Doctor applied more color where they needed it most, but using a shade of pink pastel to complement RR's original coloring. This is the last one I have of the girls together, but we'll be seeing four more with the girls separately before we leave Scooby-Doo for this year.

For the concluding episode of our Manga Mini-Series we have a simple, OTK-style spanking in which it looks like the old master must correct his young female disciple. Well, if that's what it takes to get the student's performance level up to where it should be that's o.k. with us!

B00m's O.T. Katie Christmas Special doesn't really need any promotion, and rest assured that B00m will shortly return to the plot line he started last week (I think it was last week ).

Finally, the Yatterman video is something I edited a couple of years ago. It was delayed until now for a variety of reasons, but in a way that was a good thing because I didn't have any other Time Bokan stuff prepared until a couple of months ago when I finally got around to a DVD that D.M. Sherwood (dmsherwood on this board) sent me a while back. This way, instead of forgetting who the characters are because of a big gap between updates, we can have them on successive weeks and watch Doronjo getting humiliated this week and then groped again next week along with a self-spanking and other good stuff for two of her bad girl counterparts.

Speaking of D. M. Sherwood, we'll be seeing two more sizzling works of spanking fiction from him in January to help us ward off the cold - watch for them!

In general, I'm not a big fan of manga. This one looks less brutal than some of them.

Yes, too many manga spankings have a harsh quality to them. In reviewing the five examples just presented, I see that I never did make a complete list in one place of what I see as the problems. Briefly, I think they are:

• Harshness
• Too stylistically rigid - this may be because Japanese culture is generally more stylized than what we see in the West.
• Bodily fluids
• And of course too many kids getting spanked. Obviously, we have the same problem with American Comics. By "problem" I mean that most of us aren't interested in them and that I can't use them on CSR.

Now that you mention it, Willjohn, I think it does seem that way. However, in what I've seen of the Yatterman series (both of them), the God of Evil is more interested in using the trio of villains to find something for him (I forget what) than he is in fun and games with Doronjo.

But what if there are more spankings in the Time Bokan series? Yatterman, which was the second out of the seven series, seems to have been the most popular, and even so I haven't been able to find all the episodes. Searching for something like Ippatsuman would be even more difficult. I've got no shortage of more spanking material for CSR in my files, but the Spanking Searcher in me is frustrated by not knowing if Doronjo and the other five villainesses (we already know about Muujo's spanking) even got their just desserts over someone's knee.

As I mentioned in my earlier reply to Willjohn, I'm frustrated by my inability to fully investigate the remaining five individual Time Bokan series for further spankings. In fact, I haven't even been able to search through all of Yatterman (2nd of the 7). This week's self-spanking by Mirenjo is the only one I've uncovered (with the help of D. M. Sherwood) since those of Muujo more than eight years ago. Are there any more? Unfortunately, I'm going to have to use what little time I have to present the spanking material I already have rather than searching for a lot more. I'll have more to say about this as we enter the New Year and I discuss my plans for 2022.

I'm not able to feature as much spanking fiction on CSR as I'd like, so I'm always glad when D. M. Sherwood sends me something. We've got "Being Topdog has its Price" this week and another work, "Leader of the Pack" scheduled for next time.

Doc Cylon's Scooby-Doo Series will continue for another couple of weeks. We have enough material for more, but I don't want readers to get tired of it so maybe we'll do a Scooby-Series every year until our files are exhausted. Velma's chubby bottom is on the firing line this week and next, and then the series will conclude on Jan. 21 with Daphne, whom I personally prefer in the role of spankee.

Everything about Dollie's Dilemma is pretty strange, from the fact that I had two separate pieces of the whole in two separate files without realizing it, to my seeing it as a foreign comic when it was probably produced here in the good ol' USA . (Do we really lead the world in BDSM comics?) Well, foreign or not - and I have no idea who "Carlo" really is or where he published this thing - it apparently was a comic of some type, so it deserves to be included in the series although perhaps not in the middle of all the French, Italian, and Spanish-language stuff. Nice to see paddles being applied to all those female behinds, although of course male spankers would be even better.
