Spanking underwater would probably be very difficult for most of us, since spanker and spankee have to breathe and the water would slow down the hand on its way to the fanny, but it's no problem for Aquaman when he spanks his wife Mera. They can both breath underwater just fine and Aquaman can move his spanking hand pretty quickly underwater, as Mera's red bottom will attest. Good OTK positioning is the highlight here with the unusual viewing angle 90 degrees from facing the spanker (i.e. the vantage point is from the spanker's side and spankee's back(side)) having been chosen.

This was done as a favor for a friend of Feyd-Rautha3, who apparently took his name from the character Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen in Frank Herbert's Dune. He writes as well as draws, and is interested in spanking (unfortunately, most of his work is M/M). His style is hard to describe - it's neither realistic nor cartoony - and despite his interest in the X-Men, does not seem inspired by comic books, either. We wonder if he's ever seen the work of Brian Tarsis. We don't know what Feyd_Rautha3's goals are for his art, but if we were advising him, we'd recommend he work hard on human anatomy and perhaps study the works of some classical illustrators.

Nice as the view we got of Mera above was, it occurs to us that some CSR readers might not know who these characters were and so another angle might not be amiss. Here we see the Sea King and Mera, embracing perhaps just after he gave her the spanking.

Aquaman came on the scene early, back in the Golden Age of comics with More Fun Comics #73 (Nov. 1941). We remember him from the Silver Age, when he was one of the charter members of the Justice League, and in the animated series Superman/Aquaman Hour and Super-Friends. His problem for us is that we always found him extremely boring, primarily because his powers were swimming and controlling fish, which along with the fact that he couldn't stay out of the water for more than an hour didn't leave a lot of room for land-based stories. There is one actual spanking scene in an Aquaman story that we're aware of, but it's a mother seal spanking her wayward young son. (It will be documented in the Comics Spanking Data Base eventually.) Seal spanking! Only at DC, we're gonna tell you.
