Years ago, we posted a Kirk Stiles cartoon in which a marriage counsellor turns a wife over his knee asking her husband, "But have you tried this approach?" Wise counsel indeed, and here we have a second cartoon on the same theme. The husband seems a little slow on the uptake: with his wife properly positioned, he has to ask the counsellor what comes next! (A lot of real-life spanko women have encountered this situation, much to their dismay).

This cartoon isn't as good as the earlier one (we're not sure which came first chronologically), although it's at an unfair disadvange by being a lower-quality reproduction. Also, this wife isn't as eager to be spanked as that one was, although she looks more than willing to proceed with the spanks, perhaps understanding that it will help the marriage.

Once again, Oxken leaps into the fray to try to improve things by sending us his modified version of this cartoon. The counsellor and the desk are moved out of the way, the husband's head is turned, his hand is raised up over the target and ready for action, and the wife now has a pleased expression on her face. Another marriage saved by Oxken - and spanking!
