#153 - Touch the Floor for a Big Surprise!

Although it came from the February, 1957 issue of Joker at a time when the spanking cartoon was reaching the pinnacle of its development at Humorama, this one is really a throwback to the pre-1955 era of the "Bend over, get a swat" type of gag that was seen every now and then in cartoons and which had gone back even further to Burlesque. We like them very much because we love the bending-over position. This one is particularly delectable because our spankee-to-be is touching the floor, having been told to do so for a big surprise, making her bend over, and we mean all the way over! The high heels contribute to forcing her to bend over as far as possible, giving us a truly excellent view as her rear end is superbly presented for a good hard swat! Bill Ward pushed the hem on the left side of her cami-knickers up for some reason, possibly in an attempt to get the perspective right, but we find it distracting and wish it matched the right side more closely. Except for that, this is as good a spanking drawing as we have seen him do. Those cami-knickers, by the way, do represent something more daring than we saw during the "Bend over, get a swat" era.
