As far as we know, Lowell Hoppes never actually positioned a spankee OTK, but he did two butt-slapping
cartoons similar to this one,
Humorama #111 and
#218.
We're not sure why - if you're going to whack a character on her butt anyway and you're not bending her over for
the paddle or cane, why not place her OTK? The specific gag here is identical to the one used by
Henry Gaines Goodman in
Humorama #113, namely a boss giving his
secretary a pat on the "back" that's aimed a little low. This one comes not from Humorama but from Charlton's
Good Humor #67 (1976) and was discovered by Andre at
SPK.
